Brow Lightening Aftercare
Congratulations on taking the first step towards refreshed brows! Your healing is broken out into phases based on the time since your appointment.
Phase 1 - Drying Phase (48 hours)
Keep your brows dry - do not apply any creams, lotions, makeup, etc to the area
Use the provided brow shields to keep them dry while showering
There is no need to wash your brows during this phase, the goal is to keep them dry
Phase 2 - Scab Phase (Day 2-10)
You can shower normally and begin to wash the brows using the foam wash provided to you at your appointment.
Begin using the barrier cream provided to you at your appointment. A tiny rice grain size of the cream is sufficient for each brow.
Do not pick at your scabs, allow them to fall off naturally
Phase 3 - Skin rejuvniation (Day 10-28+)
Your skin continues to heal under the new layer of skin under the scab.
During this phase continue to take care of the skin by avoiding harsh creams (retinols, etc) and keeping the skin out of the sun. If going out, wear a hat or use sunscreen.
During this time your skin is continuing to heal:
Color shifts are normal: Unwanted grey, orange, or red brows often look shades of brown while healing. This is a good sign that deeper pigment has surfaced.
Cloudy skin appearance: Freshly healed skin may look slightly milky or cloudy, making it look like more pigment was removed than it actually has. The final color stabilizes over several weeks.
At the end of the 4th week you may schedule your next appointment.
